This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Africa.
• Develop and enhance opportunities.
• Influence decisions regarding LaMP's engagement strategies and rationale.
• Identify promising labor mobility prospects across various countries, corridors, and sectors, particularly emphasizing Europe.
• Transform early-stage concepts into tangible and scalable program frameworks.
• Propel opportunities from initial discussions to actionable next steps.
• Foster relationships that facilitate work.
• Establish partnerships with employers, recruiters, training providers, industry stakeholders, and organizations involved in cross-border labor markets.
• Develop connections with government stakeholders (e.g., labor, migration, skills, foreign affairs) to promote emerging partnerships and policy initiatives.
• Identify advocates and partners — and assist in translating interest into action.
• Support fundraising efforts and partnerships.
• Build and manage a pipeline of fundable opportunities within Africa.
• Craft concept notes, proposals, and partnership strategies.
• Engage with donors and strategic partners.
• Position LaMP in collaborative or consortium ventures.
• Represent LaMP in external engagements.
• Initiate and lead meetings with partners, employers, governments, and funders.
• Represent LaMP at regional events, gatherings, and conferences.
• Clearly and credibly communicate LaMP’s approach.
• Enhance visibility and expand LaMP's network in Africa.
• Assist in delivering outcomes from our initiatives.
• Oversee program design, launch, and coordination.
• Ensure workstreams progress and partners remain aligned.
• Proactively address challenges and facilitate progress.
• Supervise and produce deliverables to guarantee quality and timeliness.
• Proven experience in achieving results against ambitious goals on the African continent.
• Demonstrated success in previous roles requiring collaboration with diverse stakeholders, showcasing the ability to understand interests across various sectors (public, private, and charitable) and regions (specifically, Africa and Europe), along with the capacity to negotiate, compromise, or persuade as needed.
• A blend of strategy development, program design, and project management and execution skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong external presence.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Unyielding integrity and dedication to improving job opportunities for individuals on the African continent.
• Particularly relevant experience in the private sector or managing partnerships with private sector entities.
• Proven track record in fundraising, donor engagement, or proposal development.
• Experience in labor mobility, migration, employment, skills, or related fields.
