Aeronautical Information Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Utilizing expertise and extensive knowledge relevant to aeronautical studies in compliance with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), Part 77 notification criteria for the construction or modification of specific structures within the National Airspace System (NAS)

• Assessing construction proposals for thoroughness and precision

• Analyzing the impact of proposed construction on navigable airspace

• Evaluating the cumulative effects of such proposals to reduce aviation impact while accommodating construction needs

• Facilitating the exchange of aeronautical information through established communication channels and relationships both internally and externally within the FAA

• Managing administrative extension requests

• Concluding aeronautical studies when a structure has been taken down

• Handling FAA Form 7460-2, Part I and/or Part II notifications

• Collaborating with project sponsors to ensure they either file electronically or enter data from paper documents into an electronic application

• Guiding first-time obstruction evaluation filers through the process of submitting an OE case using the external OE/AAA website

• Investigating structures that raise public concern

• Processing FAA Form 7460-2, Part I and/or Part II notifications and creating termination letters for non-responses to Project Status Reports (PSR) letters

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Aviation, or Air Traffic Control field

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent

• Background in Airspace and Procedures (Instrument Flight Procedures)

• Experience in Air Traffic Control (FAA, Contractor, or Military)

• Commercial Instrument Rated Pilot (either Military or Civilian)

• Certified Instrument Flight Instructor

• Prior experience with FAA or DoD terminal instrument procedures (TERPS)
