This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Achieve exceptional clinical outcomes for our members by following the Groups Recovery System and delivering consistent, high-quality counseling services.
• Conduct intake assessments to determine individuals' suitability for our program.
• Complete assigned clinical assessments daily.
• Provide individual support as needed, including crisis intervention, referrals to additional resources, communication with external parties involved in the member’s treatment, and coordination with the Care Navigators.
• Use our tailored EMR system to document members’ progress efficiently and meaningfully, ensuring it remains fully digital and devoid of bureaucracy while encouraging all clinicians in the office to do the same.
• Collaborate with providers to assess the appropriateness of treatment for each member entering our program.
• Oversee all compliance activities related to member admission requirements and the corresponding documentation.
• Engage in mandatory internal and external training necessary for maintaining licensure.
• Responsible for documenting care coordination needs handled by the Care Navigator.
• Act as a representative of the treatment team discussing challenging members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Required licensure or certification*: Behavioral health licensure, including but not limited to: LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LSATP, LCSW, with the ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
• At least two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder (SUD) setting.
• High proficiency with technology, including EMR, email, software, and mobile applications (e.g., Google Apps).
• Strongly committed to member success.
• Genuine, caring, and inspiring, while maintaining appropriate boundaries and accountability.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with individuals.
• Ability to make clinical decisions that are objective, demonstrate sound judgment, and align with the Groups Recovery System and harm reduction philosophy.
• Dedicated to upholding a high ethical standard in all actions.
• A collaborative team player willing to prioritize team success over individual interests.
• Minimum of two years of experience conducting intakes in a SUD setting.
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services, specifically with download speeds exceeding 40 Mbps and upload speeds over 10 Mbps, as well as a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.
