This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Admissions Advisors connect with potential students via inbound and outbound phone calls and video conferencing to establish initial connections and gauge interest.
• The Admissions Advisor is responsible for achieving daily performance goals, such as call volume, talk time, and applicant progression, while ensuring a high-quality, student-centric outreach experience.
• Advisors conduct interviews with prospective students to understand their motivations for pursuing higher education; explore their career aspirations and the challenges they may face in starting or continuing their studies; assist them in overcoming these challenges; and help them identify the degree program that best suits their objectives.
• During interviews, advisors communicate the advantages of education and DeVry University, customizing their message to align with the student’s needs, motivations, and career aspirations.
• Once prospective students choose to enroll, advisors assist them throughout the admissions process, addressing queries, connecting them with financial aid and academic advisors, collecting necessary documents for enrollment, and ensuring completion of admissions testing.
• By cultivating relationships and networking with their students, admissions advisors are able to identify and reach out to additional prospective students.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• Must be able to sit and work at a desk and on a computer for extended periods.
• A quiet, distraction-free work environment is essential, free from conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts.
• Home office must have DSL or Cable Internet that is hardwired to a modem/router via Ethernet (Dial-up, Wireless, or Satellite internet services are not acceptable).
• A passion for education and a desire to assist prospective students in achieving their educational and career aspirations is necessary.
• Enjoy engaging with prospective students over the phone, getting to know them, and forming meaningful relationships.
• Possess the ability to write clear, persuasive messages for students and colleagues.
• Must be willing to collaborate with a team and work towards team goals, while also being capable of working independently and possessing internal motivation.
• Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays is required.
