This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Available to instruct synchronous online courses using Microsoft Teams.
• Design and structure lessons in a manner that enhances online student engagement and learning.
• Adjust instructional methods and strategies as necessary to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
• Utilize effective teaching and learning strategies to present subject matter to students.
• Ensure that the Student Database is consistently updated and accurate regarding student grade records.
• Foster collaboration with fellow staff members and engage in the rollout of new projects and initiatives.
• Comply with CIAT's business casual dress code.
• Maintain compliance with FERPA and securely manage student data in line with institutional policies.
• Valid credential, license, or certification.
• Information Technology Instructors are required to submit official transcripts of their bachelor's (or higher) degree and current certification in the subject area.
• General Education Instructors must provide official transcripts for both bachelor's and master's (or higher) degrees, which should include at least 18 units in the relevant subject area.
• Minimum of three years of experience in the respective field or two years of teaching experience.
• Preference for synchronous online teaching experience.
• Advanced expertise in the subject matter is preferred.
• Strong presentation skills.
• High degree of flexibility, creativity, and reliability.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as learning technologies such as Canvas.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Capacity to multitask effectively.
• Quick and effective problem-solving skills, addressing issues promptly.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency while engaging with and listening to colleagues from other departments.
• Ability to collaborate with peers, academic departments, and administration to promote student success and achieve institutional objectives, contributing to a positive and inclusive culture.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that honors the diversity of students’ backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
• Awareness of current trends, best practices, and pedagogical approaches in higher education.
• Proven ability to deliver captivating and effective lesson plans that cater to the varied needs of students.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively share information and interact with students, colleagues, and others.
• Uphold high ethical standards and serve as a professional role model for others.
• Adhere to all college policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to academic integrity, student conduct, and instructional delivery.
• Comply with CIAT's requirements to ensure adherence to all Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures.
• Follow communication protocols to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism.

• Work from Home (WFH) — Remote work must be conducted while living in California, Florida, Massachusetts, or New Mexico.
• Live classes are scheduled twice weekly (Monday and Tuesday) from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM PT.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards related to instruction and the quality of education.
