Adjunct Faculty – Law

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Teach and facilitate impactful learning aligned with course outcomes.

• Support all aspects of the educational setting.

• Deliver learning-focused course instruction that aligns with South University's curricula and delivery systems.

• Create instructional plans and activities designed to achieve course outcomes and lesson objectives.

• Provide approved instruction within online course platforms when applicable.

• Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance student learning.

• Set criteria for student performance and assess learning outcomes.

• Organize and prepare classes that foster student success and engagement.

• Keep precise records and submit grades and reports punctually.

• Uphold academic and attendance standards.

• Connect professional, personal, and industry experiences to the learning process.

• Pursue ongoing professional and technical skill development while staying updated on industry trends.

• Engage in faculty development, curriculum and system task forces, campus activities, workshops, and meetings.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, and South University administrators.

• Maintain required office hours and address student and administrative inquiries within designated response times.

⛳️ Requirements

• JD/Juris Doctor is mandatory.

• Experience in teaching or a structured educational process is preferred, particularly in a post-secondary or collegiate setting.

• A minimum of six months of teaching experience at South University or another post-secondary institution is preferred; online teaching experience is advantageous for online-only roles.

• Ability to obtain credentials for teaching Estate Planning and Probate, Real Estate, Computers in the Legal Office, Workers' Compensation, Bankruptcy, International Law, Immigration Law, or Cyberlaw.

• Capability to maintain required office hours and respond to student and administrative inquiries within the necessary response time.

• Membership in a professional association related to the area of instruction is preferred.

• Active, valid, and unencumbered state licensure or certification applicable to the discipline is required.

• Willingness to engage in an accelerated online learning format, interacting with students five of seven days per online week for online positions.

• Willingness to attend mandatory department meetings for online positions.
