This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct on-site or virtual evaluations at facilities seeking ACC Accreditation services and evaluate adherence to accreditation standards.
• Engage in constructive discussions with healthcare organizations to pinpoint deficiencies and areas for enhancement.
• Provide guidance to facilities on accreditation prerequisites and support their achievement.
• Assess submitted accreditation documents for thoroughness and essential component criteria.
• Participate in presentations and industry trade shows to inform the public and professionals about the advantages of accreditation.
• Coordinate with facilities to schedule site evaluations and gather supplementary documentation.
• Create summary reports for the Accreditation Review Committee and the facilities reviewed, detailing findings, decisions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with research initiatives, committee formation, and the creation of site review standards as assigned.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the mission and vision of ACC Accreditation Services.
• Attend mandatory training sessions for reviewers.
• Ensure the confidentiality of healthcare entity information.
• Manage organizational funds with care.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Five years of experience in healthcare, specifically in acute care, pre-hospital emergency care, nursing, research, Cardiac Cath Lab, Transcatheter Valve, Electrophysiology services, or another cardiovascular-related medical area.
• Active licensure in the specified area of practice.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Professional and ethical representation of ACC Accreditation Services.
• Fundamental understanding of relevant services and current best-practice standards.
• Basic knowledge of performance improvement activities and metrics.
• Intermediate proficiency with computers, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email.
• Capability to critically assess data and communicate findings to healthcare facilities.
• High-speed internet access and a suitable work environment for online meetings.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and work evenings or weekends as necessary.
• Ability to fly and lift/carry luggage weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.
• Capacity to work in environments where infectious diseases may be present.
• Background in process improvement is preferred.
• CPHQ certification is preferred.
