Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Accurately process and record customer invoices and payments.

• Review customer accounts and accounting entries for thoroughness and precision.

• Keep organized and current records of invoices, payments, and accounts.

• Allocate incoming payments to the correct customer accounts and invoices.

• Reconcile customer accounts and address any discrepancies.

• Investigate issues related to missing payments, incorrect applications, and account irregularities.

• Engage with customers in a timely and professional manner concerning invoices, payments, and account balances.

• Follow up on outstanding payments, payment details, and required documentation.

• Refer complex account matters to senior accounting team members as needed.

• Safeguard confidential customer and financial information.

• Assist with reporting, data entry, and additional accounting-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; or

• Relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or general accounting.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism.

• Strong organizational skills and effective time-management abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Comfortable seeking clarification when instructions or information are unclear.

• Good judgment in managing confidential financial information.

• Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure they are resolved.
