This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee the general ledger and carry out daily bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, coding, and data input.
• Document and reconcile daily sales across various retail channels, including medispa POS systems and e-commerce platforms.
• Handle accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, scheduling payments, and reconciling statements.
• Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, tracking outstanding balances, and conducting follow-ups on collections.
• Perform reconciliations for bank, credit card, and merchant payouts across multi-currency accounts.
• Prepare and manage monthly payroll for staff along with mandatory provident fund contributions.
• Calculate commissions for consultants and therapists in addition to performance bonuses.
• Implement month-end closing procedures, which include accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records and assist external accountants with statutory filings and year-end audits.
• Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold for retail and product lines while aiding in budgeting processes.
• Fluent or native Cantonese speaker with the ability to read and write Traditional Chinese.
• High proficiency in written and spoken business English.
• Strong foundational knowledge of double-entry accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently and manage oneself in a remote or virtual setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, numerical precision, and confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
• Stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps, along with a reliable backup option.
• Availability to work standard daytime hours in accordance with Hong Kong business hours.
• **Nice-to-Have Skills**
• Familiarity with accounting practices, payroll regulations, and statutory requirements in Hong Kong.
• Experience in supporting a Hong Kong business entity or operating within a multi-currency environment.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
• Previous experience with e-commerce or medispa platforms like Shopify and Zenoti.
