Accounting Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the month-end closing process, which includes managing the close calendar and checklist, while assisting in the design and implementation of closing procedures.

• Support the establishment and upkeep of standardized accounting practices and procedures.

• Aid in the revenue recognition processes related to customer contracts.

• Prepare journal entries and conduct the completion and review of general ledger reconciliations.

• Assist during the annual independent financial and statutory audits.

• Execute balance sheet and income statement analysis, providing explanations for fluctuations.

• Generate and analyze various reports pertinent to both internal and external financial statements.

• Ensure robust internal controls are established to guarantee compliance with GAAP and relevant federal and state regulations regarding financial and fiscal reporting.

• Provide support to the CFO and collaborate directly with the accounting team to maintain accuracy and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, complemented by a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in public accounting, with a preference for Big 4 firms.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with internal controls, processes, and SOX compliance.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Highly organized and analytical, with a strong attention to detail.

• Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.

• Natural inclination and desire to work collaboratively within a team.

• Exceptional professional communication skills.
