Account Specialist, Chronic Migraine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Promote products to achieve or surpass sales targets in community/private practices, hospitals, and health systems.

• Establish and nurture relationships with specialists in neurology, pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pharmacy, urology, urogynecology, obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine, ambulatory surgical centers, and reconstructive surgery accounts.

• Identify customer requirements related to training, clinical, operational, and reimbursement issues, and address these with appropriate AbbVie resources.

• Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and hospital staff.

• Deliver information and training regarding anatomical and procedural topics, including anatomical terminology, injection paradigms/postures, and insights into anatomy and injections.

• Utilize AbbVie sales and data resources to boost productivity and product growth while executing the U.S. Marketing Plan.

• Work collaboratively with other Account Specialists to promote products for approved indications.

• Conduct individual, departmental, and group training sessions for residents and fellows within hospital and health system accounts.

• Travel throughout the designated territory and participate in scheduled overnight training events and sales meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.

• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five (5) years of technical experience is required, with three (3) or more years of sales experience preferred.

• A high school diploma/GED is required.

• Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, particularly in health systems and private practice.

• Capability to lift/pull training models weighing between 25–100 lbs.

• Ability to meet hospital credentialing and vaccination standards.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving requirements.

• Willingness to travel sufficiently to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.

• A documented history of strong sales performance is preferred, ideally in clinical, technical, or consultative sales involving multiple decision-makers.

• Proficiency in managing complex sales processes.

• Quick adaptability to learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information and effectively communicate, present, and train diverse audiences.

• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials, which may involve background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
