This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Proactively identify sales opportunities in partnership with peer sales teams, Inside Sales, and Partnerships to create a robust sales pipeline.
• Leverage insights obtained during the needs analysis phase and collaborate with the Solutions Consulting team to present a persuasive demonstration of the Workiva platform.
• Effectively handle customer objections by eliminating barriers and offering solutions to various client challenges.
• Naturally lead the sales process towards closure by convincingly showcasing Workiva's value proposition.
• Consistently and promptly update customer relationship management tools to document customer interactions.
• Provide reliable and precise forward-looking information through pipeline analysis to project sales outcomes.
• Create and implement a sales strategy with intentional actions to secure the sale.
• Mobilize internal support to pursue an account and optimize the use of internal resources.
• Prioritize sales activities and ensure prompt follow-up.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Workiva products by committing to continuous training and adopting a growth mindset.
• 4+ years of experience in a related position, particularly in enterprise technology or complex solution sales.
• Proven ability and history of meeting (and surpassing) sales quota targets.
• Significant experience and enthusiasm for business development and acquiring new logos.
• Demonstrated success in navigating sales processes and achieving results with new logo customers.
• Familiarity with the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model.
• Capability to demonstrate complex software applications effectively.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend complex business challenges.
• Professional presence with the capacity to communicate at the highest executive levels.
• Ability to identify and comprehend the influence of stakeholders versus buyers and navigate the nuances of each during the sales process.
• Proficient in managing multiple complex sales cycles concurrently.
• Skilled in negotiating pricing while focusing on maintaining value.
• Eligible for commission based on sales performance.
