This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Integral member of the account management team tasked with driving new business sales, including ancillary products.
• Service, convert, and expand existing accounts by adding additional lines of business and transitioning accounts to managed care.
• Develop and deliver client presentations and meetings, leveraging analyses of current client trends and available plan design options.
• Examine data to suggest modifications and cost-effective designs that integrate medical management programs.
• Respond promptly and proactively to account or broker inquiries via telephone by liaising with the relevant operational areas across the organization.
• Must cultivate strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Resolve complex service issues and address inquiries related to products and benefits.
• Aid in the completion of paperwork associated with prospecting, enrollment, and/or termination of accounts.
• Ensure the accuracy of account profiles and group administration through regular data updates.
• Facilitate and coordinate the timely onboarding of new groups and conversions.
• Analyze inter-departmental issues and propose solutions for resolution.
• Assist in gathering information from groups to complete and verify sales documentation.
• Responsible for handling reporting requests and ensuring data accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Group, Life, or Health Insurance is required.
• A valid NJ driver's license is preferred.
• Candidates must hold a New Jersey State Health/Life License or have the capability to obtain one within three (3) months of employment.
• Proficiency in and advanced skills with personal computers and supporting software in a Windows environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes, are required.
• Familiarity with Group Health product lines, including Managed Care, is essential.
• Knowledge of Horizon BCBSNJ products and underwriting policies is preferred.
