Accessibility Subject Matter Expert – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert technical assistance to ensure the client application remains operational.

• Offer support for development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.

• Guarantee the application's availability and proper functionality.

• Participate in a sprint-based development cycle.

• Leverage expertise in the AWS cloud environment, Python backend, and TypeScript front-end technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital accessibility.

• Bachelor’s Degree (3 additional years of experience can be considered in place of a degree).

• Proven experience in supporting user experience design and digital accessibility for publicly accessible web applications.

• In-depth knowledge of Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards.

• Skilled in accessibility testing using both manual and automated methods and tools.

• Proficient with UX design tools.

• Experience documenting UX and accessibility findings and recommendations.

• Familiarity with usability evaluations.

• History of working effectively within Agile teams.
