YouTube Assistant Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Organize and synchronize footage using DaVinci Resolve

• Prepare timelines for interviews and create multicam sequences

• Clean, label, and structure project timelines effectively

• Manage media, assets, and project files through Dropbox

• Prepare b-roll and placeholders for graphics

• Assist with exports and the overall organization of projects

• Edit story segments from interviews as you advance in the role

• Clearly structure explanations for a general audience as you progress

• Integrate b-roll and supporting visuals as you develop in the position

• Maintain pacing and narrative clarity as you gain experience

• Edit complete 10–20 minute documentary-style episodes as you grow

• Refine rough cuts into polished final versions as you evolve

• Craft compelling openings to enhance audience retention as you mature in the role

• Oversee episodes from completion to final export as you develop

• Prepare videos for publication on YouTube as you progress

⛳️ Requirements

• Reliable high-speed internet connection (500 Mbps+ for both download and upload)

• Proficient editing skills in DaVinci Resolve, as our workflow centers around it

• Strong understanding of pacing, clarity, and narrative structure

• Capability to organize intricate editing projects and manage substantial media files

• Excellent comprehension of the English language

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a remote team

• Experience editing YouTube documentary or educational content is a plus

• Familiarity with YouTube strategies related to pacing, retention, and audience engagement is advantageous

• Basic skills in motion graphics or title design are a bonus

• Experience with color correction and finishing in Resolve is preferred

• Capability to perform basic audio cleanup is a plus

• Interest in sound, audio production, music, or media craft is desirable
