Video Editor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Edit lengthy podcasts, discussions, and interviews into short reels and clips for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

• Quickly edit short-form social media videos - capturing attention within the first second, adding captions, and ensuring proper pacing and music.

• Experiment with AI video tools (including generation, auto-captions, b-roll, voice, and avatars) and report on what effectively enhances video production.

• Stay ahead of trends and audio formats, engaging with them while they are still popular, rather than post-trend.

• Manage fundamental elements proficiently: audio quality, basic color correction, and sound levels.

• Maintain the distinct style of each brand - Enterprise Monkey, Dumb Monkey, and Aamir's personal channels, ensuring each has a unique look and sound.

• Assist the senior editor on larger projects when necessary.

• Meet turnaround deadlines without compromising on quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Some experience in editing with a reel or portfolio to showcase (personal projects, freelance work, or coursework are acceptable).

• Proficiency in at least one editing software - Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut.

• A genuine interest in AI video tools and a proactive approach to testing new options.

• Understanding of the key elements that make short-form videos effective - including hook, pacing, captions, and audience retention.

• Self-motivated and quick to execute tasks.

• Comfortable taking a rough concept and developing it independently.

• Open to final-year students and recent graduates.
