This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Install, manage, and maintain Linux operating systems, including Debian and RHEL distributions.
• Design, implement, and oversee virtualization environments (libvirt) and containerization tools (LXC, Docker).
• Manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, including deployments, services, scaling, and troubleshooting in production settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking protocols and services: IP, routing (static, OSPF, BGP), DNS, VPN, high-availability technologies (bridging, keepalive), firewalls, and Cisco Meraki.
• Design and uphold secure, high-availability network infrastructure across distributed environments.
• Proficient in AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Lambda. Experience in cost optimization (Cost Explorer, Savings Plans) and security groups/policies.
• Familiar with GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring. Knowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for managing cloud resources.
• Experience in managing multi-tenant cloud environments and handling migration projects (on-premises to cloud).
• Understanding of cloud security principles: encryption, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and Zero Trust networking.
• Configure and manage web servers such as Nginx, Apache, and PHP.
• Database administration experience with MySQL/MariaDB, including replication technologies (bin-log, Galera).
• Familiarity with Redis, Memcache, Supervisord, and Logstash.
• Infrastructure monitoring utilizing Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and Netdata.
• Implement cybersecurity principles encompassing vulnerability management, SIEM, and XDR.
• Manage certificate lifecycles (PKI, Let's Encrypt) and conduct vulnerability scanning.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or similar languages to automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and runbooks using the Atlassian Stack (Confluence, Jira).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline — or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in Linux systems administration and IT infrastructure management.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of the technologies mentioned above.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of effective collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications are highly desirable: RHCE, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, or equivalent.
