Working Student – Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• We are seeking an AI-savvy design intern to integrate directly into our B2C mobile application team.

• You will not be assigned minor tasks; instead, you will play a key role in shaping our flagship consumer product, the Heartbeat app.

• Your ability to quickly onboard and brainstorm on intricate technical energy concepts, prototype rapidly, and utilize AI as a force multiplier in your design workflow will be essential.

• You will be responsible for the entire design cycle — from defining the problem to delivering polished and production-ready app experiences.

• Manage the complete design process for core app features — from initial discovery to final delivery.

• Utilize AI to improve every aspect of the design process.

• Enhance the product experience — you have the capability to elevate outcomes from good to exceptional.

• Conduct effective user research — including interviews, usability testing, and surveys.

• Collaborate closely and proactively with product managers, engineers, and data scientists.

• Transform complex data into straightforward, elegant product decisions.

• Serve as an advocate for the user in a fast-paced, technical setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background - you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.

• AI proficient — you regularly utilize AI tools in your design process and can showcase your work.

• Versatile skill set — you are equally adept and inquisitive in UX processes, visual design, UI craftsmanship, and cross-functional collaboration.

• End-to-end responsibility — you have successfully guided features from conception to completion, transforming vague problem statements into shipped products.

• Mobile app design expertise — you are well-versed in mobile app design patterns.

• High initiative — you identify and address gaps without needing direction.

• Builder mentality — you are passionate about creating tangible outcomes rather than just conceptualizing ideas.

• Exceptional communicator — you ensure clarity and efficiency in both verbal and written communication; our primary working language is English.
