Workday Data Migration Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the comprehensive Workday data migration strategy, covering scope, methodology, timelines, and risk management.

• Establish and uphold data governance, quality benchmarks, and success metrics, guaranteeing data accuracy and suitability.

• Supervise the assessment, mapping, and transformation of legacy data in alignment with Workday data models and business processes.

• Manage all stages of migration (extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation) with defined quality assurance protocols.

• Ensure thorough testing across unit, system, UAT, and dress rehearsals, endorsing outputs prior to production cutover.

• Uphold compliance with GDPR, SOC, and SOX regulations, ensuring secure data management, access controls, and audit preparedness.

• Serve as the primary data liaison for stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and critical decisions.

• Direct post-go-live stabilization, reconciliation, and ongoing enhancement of data practices.

• At least 5 years of experience in leading extensive Workday data migrations.

• Profound knowledge of Workday data architecture, security frameworks, and integration tools.

• Strong proficiency in data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate risk and deliver results in complex program environments.

• Experience in consulting-based leadership roles.

• Keen attention to detail coupled with a holistic view, serving as a pragmatic problem solver.

• Excellent planning, interpersonal, and time management skills with a proven track record of following through on commitments.

• Experience with global or multi-country Workday implementations.

• Relevant Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Data Migration, Integrations, or HCM).

• Proficiency in English (writing, reading, and speaking).
