Web Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in our operations involving government-owned systems.

• Develop independent capabilities within an environment that hosts WebFOCUS application and reporting servers, utilizing IBM WebSphere as the Java application backend.

• Take responsibility for existing Java applications and associated HTML-based webpages, while contributing to their growth and modernization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

• Proficient in the Java programming language.

• Capability to deploy Java applications (EAR, WAR, and JAR files) to application servers such as IBM WebSphere or Apache Tomcat.

• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Security.

• Experience in writing JUnit and Spring integration tests.

• Expertise in front-end web development technologies like React and Angular, and experience in creating full-feature applications that include interactivity, modals, and image displays.

• Proficient in developing web applications that utilize identity provider parameters such as SAML assertions and OIDC claims to manage user access and restrict functionality.

• Understanding of development operations involving git and GitLab.

• Familiarity with the WebFOCUS application platform.

• Experience working within highly secure environments, such as government systems with FedRAMP-high ratings or corporate systems with SOC-2 compliance.

• Knowledge of the REST API framework and experience in building microservices that leverage it.
