This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and uphold a detailed compliance, audit management, and facility oversight strategy for InnovAge PACE/LIFE Programs
• Oversee compliance management, audit execution, facility oversight, policy and procedure administration, compliance training, and related projects
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer by managing and evaluating clinical and operational practices in relation to regulatory standards
• Execute corrective action plans to address both internal and external risk areas identified
• Conduct and manage audits of documentation, functions, and departments across all business sectors
• Supervise Regional Directors of Clinical Compliance, Audit Management; Director of Facility Oversight; Compliance Coordinator; and additional audit personnel
• Foster a compliance-oriented culture and act as a compliance subject matter expert
• Evaluate organizational practices to ensure adherence to regulations and requirements from government agencies regarding service documentation
• Develop professional relationships with providers, operations, and nursing teams
• Direct projects aimed at identifying and resolving compliance challenges
• Ensure that practice-setting policies and procedures align with relevant laws, rules, and regulations
• Engage in leadership meetings and address compliance-related concerns
• Investigate suspected non-compliance issues and implement corrective measures
• Establish audit processes and maintain audit tools across all business lines
• Collaborate with Corporate Compliance to nurture a culture of compliance throughout the organization
• Keep abreast of federal and state regulations concerning physician services and practices
• Convert complex clinical mandates into actionable operational workflows
• Spearhead compliance initiatives for State Ready Reviews for new Centers
• Travel to InnovAge worksites, including approximately 40% travel and overnight out-of-state trips
• Eight to ten years of experience in clinical compliance and/or regulatory functions within a healthcare setting
• Three to five years of experience in managing enterprise-level employees and/or teams
• Three to five years of experience in conducting investigations to assess regulatory compliance
• Proficient in integrating clinical, operational, and financial data
• Experienced in developing audit, utilization, and performance reporting tools
• Skilled in communicating performance data to healthcare stakeholders
• Familiar with telecommuting and remote monitoring practices
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
• Capable of facilitating discussions effectively
• Adept in data analysis and interpretation
• Innovative problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences
• Experience navigating electronic medical record (EMR) systems for reviews
• Strong analytical and basic mathematical skills
• Ability to manage multiple and diverse clients and projects
• Competent in working with minimal supervision
• Must possess a state-issued driver’s license, personal transportation, a safe driving record, and auto insurance as mandated by law
• Bachelor of Science in a related field, or equivalent experience
• Nursing License, RN preferred, or clinical equivalent
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred
