Virtualization Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as the solution architect for virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and SCVMM.

• Design virtualization architectures that are highly available, scalable, and optimized for performance.

• Ensure alignment of solutions with managed services standards, SLAs, and best operational practices.

• Plan, design, and lead initiatives for virtualization migration across different platforms.

• Develop strategies for migration, along with schedules and cutover plans aimed at minimizing risk and downtime.

• Validate the stability, performance, and operational readiness of environments post-migration.

• Create virtualization solutions that consider monitoring, supportability, and long-term operational needs.

• Collaborate with managed services teams to facilitate smooth onboarding and service delivery transitions.

• Establish reference architectures and reusable patterns for consistent service offerings.

• Work together on integration with storage, networking, security, and backup solutions.

• Ensure that virtualization solutions comply with customer security, governance, and compliance standards.

• Act as a technical authority during pre-sales discussions, design workshops, and implementation phases.

• Convert customer requirements into clear designs, diagrams, and comprehensive documentation.

• Offer technical mentorship and escalate support to engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and SCVMM.

• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing virtualization migrations.

• Strong background in developing solutions within managed services settings.

• Experience in designing solutions for enterprise-level or mid-market customers.

• Exceptional documentation, architectural, and communication skills.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Managed Services Providers (MSP) or Professional Services organizations.

• Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity, and automation methodologies.

• Relevant certifications in VMware or Microsoft technologies.
