This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.
• Oversee and implement small to medium-sized audiovisual productions from the initial brief to the final output.
• Convert creative ideas and client needs into precise production strategies, timelines, technical requirements, and shooting schedules.
• Ensure all audiovisual materials adhere to the agency’s standards for technical quality, visual appeal, narrative coherence, and brand integrity.
• Directly operate a camera for smaller projects, which may include interviews, social media content, branded segments, event coverage, product photography, and internal content creation.
• Establish framing, basic camera movements, lighting needs, and visual parameters during streamlined shoots.
• Guide talent, interviewees, and small technical teams during the production process.
• Oversee preproduction tasks, including scheduling, call sheets, location scouting, equipment management, talent coordination, permits, and logistics.
• Determine the suitable equipment, locations, technical resources, and production partners for the complexity level of each project.
• Organize freelancers, camera operators, technical specialists, vendors, and other production partners as needed for additional support.
• Track production schedules and ensure filming and delivery milestones are achieved on time.
• Efficiently manage available resources while upholding quality and safeguarding project profitability.
• Proactively anticipate and address production challenges in the field with sound judgment, adaptability, and professionalism.
• Properly organize, label, and deliver recorded materials to facilitate an efficient postproduction process.
• Create simple edits, preliminary cuts, or basic audiovisual content as necessary, given the project timeline permits.
• Work closely with Creative, Art, Accounts, Strategy, Project Management, and Postproduction teams to align creative visions with production realities.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding progress, risks, changes, and production needs.
• Recognize when a project surpasses the established complexity level and promptly escalate it to the Audiovisual General Producer or Head of Production.
• Ensure production activities align with approved budgets, timelines, technical specifications, and client commitments.
• Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with production vendors, technical experts, locations, and freelance talent.
• Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented, and accountable production culture.
• Embody and represent Contáctica’s values in every interaction with clients, teams, talent, vendors, and production partners.
• Demonstrated experience as a Video Producer, Field Producer, Content Producer, Audiovisual Producer, or in a similar production capacity.
• Practical experience in coordinating small to medium-sized audiovisual productions from preproduction to final delivery.
• Proven ability to operate professional or prosumer cameras independently.
• Strong grasp of framing, camera movement, basic lighting, sound capture, and audiovisual storytelling.
• Experience in producing interviews, social media content, branded videos, event coverage, product content, corporate pieces, or comparable formats.
• Capable of directing talent, interviewees, and small production crews in the field.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, including experience in preparing production schedules, call sheets, equipment lists, and logistical plans.
• Ability to convert creative briefs into practical and actionable production plans.
• Experience in coordinating freelancers, technical specialists, production vendors, and external partners.
• Strong capability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful and adaptable in resolving production challenges with limited time, equipment, or personnel.
• Keen attention to detail and dedication to both technical and narrative quality.
• Basic video editing skills are highly appreciated but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools is a bonus.
• Understanding of file management, media organization, production workflows, and postproduction handoffs.
• Responsible management of production resources and budgets.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional and service-oriented demeanor when interacting with clients, talent, internal teams, and suppliers.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production, Film, Communications, Media, Advertising, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Proficient English communication skills are highly valued.
