Posted Jul 27
This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Editing UGC-style and direct-response video advertisements from raw footage – requiring quick edits [minimum 1.5 to 2 seconds frame changes on visuals], dynamic visuals, precise cuts as necessary, strong pacing, and hooks that capture the viewer's attention within the first three seconds.
• Incorporating motion graphics, captions, text overlays, sound design, and music to create platform-ready content for Meta and TikTok.
• Following creative briefs and script references while adhering to directives, but also bringing your unique perspective to the project.
• Efficiently producing multiple versions of the same concept (hook tests, CTA variations, format cuts).
• Receiving and interpreting briefs from creative strategists - proactively asking insightful questions upfront rather than engaging in back-and-forth after the initial cut.
• Submitting first cuts punctually and responding to revision notes swiftly and accurately.
• Staying updated on UGC trends, editing styles, and platform-specific formats, and highlighting opportunities worth testing.
• Maintaining organized project files, exports, and asset folders in accordance with team SOPs.
• Assisting the team in repurposing high-performing content into new formats as needed.
• A compelling portfolio of edited video ads - UGC, direct-response, or DTC brand content; we seek cuts designed for effectiveness, not just aesthetics.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and/or CapCut - able to work swiftly in whichever software the project demands.
• Strong understanding of pacing - you can identify when a cut is too slow, when a hook is ineffective, and when trimming is necessary.
• Knowledge of how paid social video functions: hook structure, attention retention, CTA placement, and the format distinctions between Meta and TikTok.
• Consistent output reliability - capable of managing multiple edits concurrently and meeting deadlines.
• Open to feedback; understanding that revision rounds are part of the role and that taking notes personally is not.
• Strong Advantages
• Experience editing DTC, beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brand content.
• Skills in motion graphics, text animations, transitions, and lower thirds that surpass basic templates.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools that enhance turnaround without compromising quality.
• Insight into what constitutes a successful advertisement—not only technically proficient editing but also effective storytelling structure.
• Understanding of the UGC content model and the ability to make creator footage appear polished while maintaining authenticity.
• Instant No's
• Your portfolio is predominantly cinematic, long-form, or brand film content lacking paid social or direct-response work; that is not our focus here.
• You require extensive direction for every edit.
• You consider revision notes as optional suggestions - revisions are essential for improving content performance, and accuracy is critical.
• You cannot maintain output at a high volume - this is a fast-paced environment where pace is integral to the role.
• Competitive monthly rate (contractor) based on experience and portfolio quality.
• Clear growth path: Graphic Designer → Senior Graphic Designer.
• Fully remote - no fixed location, flexible setup.
• Learning & development budget.
• Access to successful ad references and a structured feedback system that genuinely enhances your skills.
• Exposure to high-volume, multi-market DTC creative production at a significant scale.
• Weekly performance reviews with the Creative Director.
