This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Editing of raw footage
• Collaborate with various types of raw footage provided by clients, including founder interviews, studio recordings, product visuals, B-roll, user-generated content, screen captures, and event footage, transforming them into paid advertising formats
• Efficiently sort and log raw footage; pinpoint usable takes, engaging hooks, and soundbites
• Create multiple advertisement variations from a single shoot, utilizing different hooks, angles, lengths, and calls to action, ensuring clients have sufficient volume for testing
• Capture attention within the first 1-3 seconds using text overlays, B-roll, jump cuts, and pattern interrupts
• Incorporate captions, text emphasis, B-roll, stock footage, screen captures, and graphic elements that enhance the message
• Develop motion-led advertisements from scratch when raw footage is unavailable, including typography, animated elements, product motion, and data- or text-driven concepts
• Integrate motion into user-generated content and video sales letter cuts to strengthen the message (such as animated statistics, callouts, product features, and comparison frames)
• Edit long-form video sales letter scripts into polished videos, focusing on pacing, visuals, B-roll, graphics, captions, and music
• Understand how to maintain viewer engagement in a video sales letter, preventing drop-offs within the first 60 seconds
• Produce shorter cutdowns of video sales letters for advertising purposes
• 2–4 years of experience in editing video advertisement content, preferably for platforms like Meta and/or YouTube
• A reel/portfolio demonstrating genuine direct response work, including raw footage cutdowns, user-generated content ads, motion advertisements, video sales letters, and YouTube ads—excluding wedding films, brand sizzles, or long-form content typical of YouTubers
• Highly efficient—capable of delivering ads within hours to a couple of days without compromising quality
• Strong understanding of advertisement pacing, hooks, pattern interrupts, captions, and retention strategies—editing for both algorithms and audience engagement rather than solely client preferences
• Comfortable working with unorganized, messy raw footage, skillfully extracting valuable content from lengthy and disorganized recordings
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve, with After Effects experience for motion graphics
• Familiar with captions/subtitle workflows, including automatic captioning tools and manual adjustments, basic color correction, and audio mixing/leveling
• Capable of sourcing and seamlessly integrating stock footage, B-roll, screen captures, and graphic elements
• Strong written communication skills—able to comprehend briefs effectively, ask pertinent questions, and return work with clear annotations
• Self-motivated in a fully remote work environment—managing workloads independently, identifying potential capacity issues early, and meeting deadlines
