Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Edit content primarily for YouTube that aligns with Purdue Global's mission, voice, and educational philosophy.

• Take responsibility for pacing, story structure, and audience retention, tailoring edits to how viewers engage with the content.

• Create motion graphics and social effects within your edits to enhance storytelling and streamline production.

• Collaborate with the producer to design and refine thumbnails.

• Work closely with the Producer/Director to shape the creative vision throughout the post-production process.

• Team up with strategists, marketers, and creative teams to produce videos that meet channel objectives.

• Continuously improve your editing approach based on YouTube performance metrics, audience feedback, and industry best practices.

• Maintain a high standard of creativity while ensuring efficiency, organization, and scalability.

• Collaborate with Snowball to analyze YouTube performance data and consistently optimize for reach, retention, and engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in editing YouTube or digital-first content.

• A robust portfolio showcasing outstanding storytelling, pacing, and retention skills.

• Proficiency in motion design and graphics within your edits (After Effects or similar software).

• Ability to design engaging thumbnails.

• Strong organizational skills with experience in managing multiple edits at the same time.

• A collaborative mindset with experience working across creative, production, and marketing teams.

• Willingness to accept feedback and the ability to edit with the audience in mind, rather than personal preferences.
