Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Acquire, organize, and standardize video content submitted by production teams and authors globally.

• Utilize authorized AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency, transcription, captioning, and quality assurance.

• Catalog and tag footage in accordance with JoVE's naming protocols, metadata guidelines, and project directory structures.

• Create preliminary cuts of JoVE Journal video articles based on sanctioned scripts and editorial standards.

• Set up Adobe Premiere Pro project files, template folders, and associated assets for the post-production process.

• Develop basic textual, graphical, and visual materials using Adobe Creative Cloud software.

• Perform quality control assessments on videos submitted by authors, pinpointing technical, visual, audio, and content-related concerns.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree.

• A demo reel or portfolio showcasing relevant editing experience is mandatory.

• Over 3 years of professional video editing experience.

• At least 1 year of practical experience with Adobe Creative Cloud post-production tools, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Media Encoder.

• Comprehensive understanding of post-production processes, including codecs, file types, proxies, importing, exporting, transcoding, audio enhancement, and media management.
