This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Demonstrated experience in crafting complex SQL queries, with a preference for familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, implementation of data lakes, data warehouse/ETL projects, and big data initiatives in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proficient in SAS applications and Python programming.
• Skilled in writing SQL queries for data validation and investigating quality issues related to data.
• Experience with project delivery methodologies including SDLC, iterative approaches, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Familiarity with ALM tools such as JIRA, TFS (Azure DevOps), and Confluence.
• Knowledgeable in data quality fundamentals and data governance principles.
• Hands-on experience with various levels of testing, including smoke testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing.
• Proficient in PL-SQL, PySpark, and SQL, with expertise in formulating and optimizing queries to encompass all data scenarios.
• Responsible for ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Good command of MS Office tools.
• Track all software versions, features, bugs, and validation efforts for all software created or modified by development teams.
• Develop and utilize test data sets.
• Create and execute manual test scripts, including testing software applications for quality and functionality based on defined validation protocols and testing techniques.
• Generate associated validation documentation using established documentation methods.
• Collaborate with application developers to resolve issues and conduct application retesting.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Actively engage in testing new Clario products by developing test cases, studying data, and conducting general testing and clinical services development tools testing, while reporting and reviewing anomalies with the department head.
• Participate actively in post-production product release testing by developing test cases, conducting regression, and bug fix testing for clinical services, reporting anomalies as needed.
• Secondary Responsibilities: Seek new opportunities to enhance organizational and departmental processes, participate in company-sponsored training, read and adhere to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), establish and enforce departmental standards, assist others in achieving results, and perform other assigned duties. Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, benchmark best practices, and stay informed of regulatory changes and requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, along with relevant work experience in a software testing environment is required.
• Approximately 4 to 6 years of experience in software quality testing.
• Prior experience with pharmaceutical-related software is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of software quality assurance, ideally within a clinical data context.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and to investigate quality issues in data.
• Familiarity with project delivery methodologies such as SDLC, iterative models, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) testing methodology and document management.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience in writing test cases based on product requirements.
• Experience collaborating closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements.
• Demonstrates creativity and initiative in improving product test coverage and effectiveness (preferred).
• Experience with web-based SaaS platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with programming in Python is preferred.
• Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in remote settings.
