This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess both traditional and non-traditional transfer credits to optimize the amount of applicable transfer credit.
• Verify the accuracy of students’ program and plan details along with course-credit applicability.
• Ensure that coursework is correctly reflected on students’ academic advisement reports.
• Assist students in comprehending degree requirements and their projected time to graduation.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service to both students and internal staff.
• Address inquiries from students and advisors regarding transfer credit and academic advisement within departmental service-level agreement (SLA) timelines.
• Work collaboratively with advising units to answer questions and fulfill learner needs.
• Analyze transfer credit scenarios to identify patterns, challenges, and opportunities.
• Partner with evaluation staff to determine coursework transferability and achieve consensus.
• Suggest additional data or process enhancements to better assist students.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 1 year of experience in a registrar’s office, academic records, graduation services, degree auditing, transfer credit, academic advising, admissions operations, or a closely related field in higher education student services.
• Proficient in reviewing and interpreting student academic records, including transcripts, transfer credit, test credit, course substitutions, waivers, repeated coursework, academic standing, catalog year requirements, and program/plan requirements.
• Experience in conducting degree audits, graduation reviews, or evaluations of academic progress.
• Capability to ascertain whether students have met institutional, program, general education, residency, credit, GPA, and graduation criteria.
• Entry-level knowledge in change management, diversity and inclusion, holistic and systems thinking, institutional and external data interpretation and application, leadership and management, and technical expertise.
• Intermediate skill in collaborative decision-making, problem-solving, professional integrity, and effective communication.
• Competence in accurately and professionally resolving student and customer inquiries.
• Exceptional attention to detail when dealing with information from diverse sources.
• Ability to organize and prioritize administrative tasks while adhering to service-level agreements.
• Capable of effective communication with internal and external customers through phone, email, chat, and other channels.
• Flexibility to alternate between detail-oriented and service-oriented tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
