This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee live sports markets and their activity in real-time across various sports and market categories.
• Assist in the calibration and enhancement of pricing by utilizing market signals, statistical models, competitor analysis, and event-driven data.
• Contribute to enhancing pricing quality through the examination of market behavior, price sensitivity, liquidity trends, and response times to new information.
• Aid in the creation, testing, and optimization of quantitative models by leveraging your knowledge of live market dynamics and pricing behavior.
• Take ownership of real-time trading risk, which includes monitoring exposure, controlling liabilities, and making disciplined decisions during concurrent events.
• Work together with engineering on trading and pricing infrastructure, covering aspects such as API integrations, automated monitoring, alerting, anomaly detection, and execution tools.
• Collaborate closely with Sports Trading teams to analyze breaking news, lineups, injuries, team updates, and other event-specific changes to guarantee timely and precise price adjustments.
• Detect model inconsistencies, edge cases, and structural inefficiencies in pricing workflows, while escalating and documenting findings for Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
• Assist in evaluating market opportunities, prioritizing resources across sports and competitions, and enhancing operational processes as the trading function grows.
• Identify sharp or informative market activities and ensure that valuable signals are integrated back into Swish’s proprietary models and pricing systems.
• Effectively communicate with internal Sports Trading teams that are responsible for maintaining and improving our core sportsbook pricing models.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative or analytical field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related area), or equivalent practical experience.
• A solid foundation in probability, statistics, and expected value, with the capability to reason clearly about fair pricing, uncertainty, and risk.
• Practical experience in sports trading, sports betting, exchange-style settings, market-making, quantitative trading, or other closely related fields where rapid price formation and disciplined execution are crucial.
• A comprehensive understanding of sports betting fundamentals, including odds formats (decimal, fractional, American), implied probability conversion, expected value, and closing line value.
• Proven ability to make high-quality decisions under time constraints with incomplete information during live events.
• Comfortable working independently across global event schedules, including weekends and major tournament periods.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills in a distributed and asynchronous team environment.
