This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.
• In the role of an interpreter, your main responsibility is to enable communication between individuals who speak different languages.
• Your key duty will be to accurately interpret conversations between the caller (Thai) and the emergency operator (English).
• You will be responsible for conveying messages in the caller's preferred language, ensuring mutual understanding between both parties.
• This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home office.
• It is crucial to maintain a quiet and secure working environment.
• The position is available to candidates in various locations across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia.
• Calls may involve a range of topics, from simple to complex, including both non-technical and technical matters in sectors such as Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, and General Business.
• Proficient in English (Reading, Speaking, and Writing)
• Proficient in Thai (Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• Must be able to work from home
• Must possess a mobile phone with Android 12 or higher, or iOS 15 or higher
• Must have a laptop with an updated version
• Willingness to work rotating shifts for 9 hours at any time, following the client's 24-hour schedule (including Night Shifts)
• You will be entitled to 2 days off each week, which will rotate on different days
• Must be willing to work on public holidays, as the operation runs 24/7.
• 14 days of paid sick leave
• 12 days of annual leave
• Observance of certain public holidays in Malaysia and the US
• Three weeks of training provided during daytime hours (Monday to Friday), along with a training allowance
