Test Architect – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive automation testing strategy in collaboration with Test Managers and Architects.

• Accountable for the overall automation strategy, as well as the selection of tools and technologies for product test automation.

• Proactively identify and communicate issues and challenges to the team; generate and suggest solutions.

• Offer technical guidance and support in the design and implementation of CI/CD processes.

• Establish quality gates within the overarching CI/CD strategy.

• Mentor QA Engineers to standardize QA practices and tool usage.

• Conduct training sessions and provide ad-hoc assistance to QA Engineers.

• Develop an automation framework and establish best practices for all QA activities.

• Supervise the maintainability of the framework, including code refactoring and performance of test runs.

• Execute parallel tests to minimize runtime.

• Evaluate and verify the most effective automated and manual testing approaches, conducting acceptance, integration, and system testing.

• Document test results and report software bug fixes to meet automation criteria.

• Assess performance testing requirements, develop test plans, and debug to understand test objectives.

• Carry out performance testing and present results for validation and analysis to Project Teams.

• Actively seek out additional test automation opportunities and evaluate potential benefits.

• Accurately estimate testing efforts and coordinate with team members on work activities.

• Participate in product design to ensure test coverage aligns with end-user requirements.

• Collaborate with program and development management teams throughout the product development lifecycle to meet end-user product and quality requirements, as well as shipment schedules.

• Address and resolve technical issues, following up as necessary.

• Prepare software defect tracking and communicate the status of testing activities to stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience and skills in programming languages, particularly Python.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools such as Python, Playwright, Selenium, etc.

• Established experience in creating and executing performance testing frameworks (e.g., JMeter).

• Strong mathematical aptitude and excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to deliver work accurately with a keen attention to detail.

• Awareness of the latest trends and their significance in a commercial context.

• Ability to thrive in a multinational and multicultural environment; professional conduct in alignment with corporate behaviors, including being result-driven, adaptable, customer-focused, exhibiting integrity, and fostering a team-oriented approach.

• Completion of a four-year university degree (Master’s degree) in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
