Technical Support Specialist – Surface Analysis Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding technical support for our Surface Analysis product range, playing a key role in customer satisfaction and scientific innovation.

• Offer second line remote assistance via phone, email, and the Technical Assistance process, ensuring prompt and precise resolution of customer concerns.

• Travel to client sites to install new equipment and address malfunctioning tools requiring immediate intervention, guaranteeing exceptional customer service.

• Contribute to process and product enhancement by providing insightful feedback on installations, services, and upgrades.

• Facilitate customer training on fundamental instrument usage, empowering them to fully utilize our remarkable technologies.

• Collaborate with the Global Technical Support Department for Surface Analysis, actively engaging in departmental responsibilities as needed.

• Openness to undertake additional training to broaden the knowledge necessary for fulfilling the RTS-B responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (both verbal and written); proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal communication, enabling smooth interactions with our clients.

• Educational qualifications in physical sciences, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, demonstrating a robust academic background.

• Solid understanding of physical sciences and basic knowledge of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS).

• Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) techniques and technologies, ensuring effective tool implementation.

• Willingness and capability to travel globally, approximately 50% of the time, to assist our worldwide customer base.

• Ability to communicate and train customers whose first language is not English, fostering inclusivity and teamwork.

• Dedication to continuous learning and personal growth, keeping abreast of the latest developments in the industry.

• Proven experience in managing multiple tasks independently, demonstrating excellent prioritization and deadline management skills.

• Organized with strong housekeeping abilities, ensuring a neat and efficient working environment.

• High level of reliability, adaptability, and self-motivation, thriving in a dynamic team with diverse strengths.

• Proven capability to work effectively with complementary teams, promoting a collaborative work atmosphere.
