• Establish and nurture strong connections with structural engineers, architects, contractors, developers, mass timber manufacturers, and other essential industry stakeholders.
• Keep precise records of projects, customer interactions, and opportunities within MTC’s CRM system.
• Assist clients throughout the design and pre-construction stages of mass timber initiatives.
• Propel project opportunities by collaborating with internal sales, engineering, technical service, operations, and marketing teams.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project details to pinpoint where MTC products can be specified and utilized to enhance project results.
• Engage with customers to comprehend their challenges and connect them with effective solutions.
• Create and present technical presentations, conduct project meetings, and participate in industry discussions.
• Stay updated on significant mass timber projects, industry developments, customer requirements, and competitive activities.
• Occasionally travel across Canada and the United States for customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, project visits, and relationship-building opportunities.
• Operate independently in a remote or hybrid setting while maintaining close communication with the internal team.
• Possesses a technical background in engineering, construction, architecture, or wood design.
• Enjoys interacting with individuals and fostering long-term professional relationships.
• Demonstrates the confidence to engage with engineers, architects, builders, manufacturers, and construction professionals.
• Can grasp technical details while keeping the overall project goals in perspective.
• Is proactive, self-motivated, and adept at generating momentum without needing step-by-step guidance.
• Is organized enough to handle multiple relationships, projects, and follow-ups simultaneously.
• Is at ease working remotely and independently.
• Is willing and able to travel occasionally.
