
Technical Sales Specialist – Gene Therapy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Propel sales and revenue expansion by actively endorsing gene therapy-related products and services within a designated territory, product suite, or key accounts.
• Implement a targeted territory growth strategy in close collaboration with sales leadership.
• Proactively discover, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through strategic planning and available commercial resources.
• Cultivate, enhance, and maintain enduring relationships with key stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, and executive decision-makers.
• Meet ATS product and product group Spec Win objectives by integrating ATS solutions throughout preclinical, clinical, and commercial gene therapy as well as nucleic acid manufacturing workflows.
• Oversee CRM execution by meticulously managing leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in SFDC, ensuring data integrity and visibility of the pipeline.
• Present persuasive sales pitches, proposals, and pricing strategies that convert opportunities into successes.
• Collaborate across functions to develop strategic accounts and boost overall revenue performance.
• Provide technical and commercial assistance to enhance customer success across relevant products and processes.
• Advocate for the launch and adoption of innovative new products and services, driving execution from initial engagement to successful implementation.
• Maintain a competitive advantage by consistently monitoring market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
• Travel up to 50% within the territory to engage with customers, advance opportunities, and support marketing initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering.
• Over 3 years of experience in the gene therapy sector, including practical exposure to processes such as cell culture media usage, transfection workflows, monolith chromatography, and TFF; familiarity with LNP technologies is advantageous.
• More than 1 year of customer-facing experience; previous sales or public speaking experience is considered an asset.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and other CRM platforms.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills that facilitate effective customer engagement.
