This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Clearly communicate the advantages of a GitLab DevSecOps transformation project to potential clients, collaborating directly with Engagement Managers and the sales team.
• Assist PS Engagement Managers during the scoping process and in the creation of the customer statement of work (SOW).
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with customers, partners, and GitLab PSEs to identify their business objectives, technical limitations, and requirements.
• Offer technical insights and consultative guidance during the planning phases of customer engagements.
• Be responsible for the design, development, execution, and support of GitLab-related Professional Services engagements.
• Coordinate and supervise functional implementation tasks for internal and partner consultants, developers, and customer points of contact (POC) on large-scale enterprise initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership to the Professional Service Engineering team throughout the delivery of service engagements.
• Ensure that deliverables precisely meet customer expectations by working closely with them to implement appropriate testing and monitor performance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the customer project team, particularly the Project Manager, to ensure precise task-level articulation of required work.
• Mentor PS and partner consultants on 'Best Practices,' communication, and implementation strategies; contribute to PS training materials, presentations, and other collateral in the form of documentation and delivery kits.
• Create case studies, presentations, design documentation, best-practice methodologies, and internal process development materials.
• Communicate with and support other functional teams within GitLab, including (but not limited to) training, development, support, product, and engineering.
• Keep abreast of new features and fixes in the monthly GitLab product releases and share key information with the PSE team.
• Conduct enablement sessions for PS or other team members to teach them how to utilize or promote specific service offerings.
• Assist Regional Delivery Managers with the technical vetting of Partner Consultants, new hire candidates, and SOW staffing evaluations.
• Proven progressive leadership in the complete lifecycle of the software development environment.
• Proven progressive experience in delivering two or more of the following consulting services:
• SCM migration
• Cloud Architecture
• Development
• CI/CD consulting services
• Proven progressive enterprise-level software development experience.
• Proven progressive DevOps Platform experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence internal team members, customers, and partners.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with effective organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and presentation skills, with the ability to create momentum and drive organizational change.
• Ability to apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the field of specialization.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience.
