Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services and APIs using Go.

• Design and enhance PostgreSQL schemas and queries to handle high-volume data efficiently.

• Construct reliable orchestration and integration layers that connect internal systems with third-party services.

• Implement metrics, distributed tracing, and observability throughout the services.

• Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to enhance the overall Developer Experience.

• Adopt and execute security best practices.

• Collaborate with frontend, fullstack, and the broader engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Go and designing REST APIs.

• Proficient in writing optimized PostgreSQL queries.

• Experienced in creating reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services.

• Resourceful; previous startup experience and not afraid to dive into hands-on work.

• Practical; knows how to build solutions quickly without adding unnecessary complexity.

• Exceptional time management; we engage with clients globally. While we don't expect anyone to be available 24/7, we seek someone who is comfortable working beyond the typical 9-5 hours.

• Adaptable and willing to take on various roles as priorities shift.

• Thrives in a fast-paced startup engineering environment.

• Strong communication skills across all levels of technical expertise.

• Experience in architecting, building, and maintaining SaaS platform backends.
