This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Assist in the enhancement of products and processes through adjustments in formulation, reformulation initiatives, and process optimization.
• Aid in the creation of nutritional supplements in various formats to support manufacturing, innovation, and product improvement.
• Prepare, maintain, and guarantee the accuracy of manufacturing documentation (such as recipes, batch records, specifications, change controls, QMS, EQAs) while complying with company policies, SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Analyze and interpret data to facilitate statistical evaluations, problem-solving, and continuous process enhancements.
• Work collaboratively across functions (Quality, Procurement, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to address product, raw material, and supply-related challenges.
• Provide timely updates to management regarding project status, risks, and changes.
• Support scale-up, validation, and technology transfer efforts with internal and external manufacturing partners.
• Engage with suppliers, external partners, and training opportunities to remain informed about industry trends and best practices.
• Contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement while fostering strong cross-functional relationships and improving team efficiency.
• Participate in mentoring, seek advice, and actively promote professional growth.
• Operate manufacturing and laboratory equipment, applying problem-solving and organizational skills to support project execution.
• Take part in Stage/Gate product development processes and assist in achieving key milestones.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, or a related field.
• Over 1 year of practical experience in product development, formulation, and manufacturing involving tablets, capsules, liquids, soft gels, gummies, powders, packaging, or related technologies.
• Understanding of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and food science principles.
• Experience managing medium-complexity technical projects and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or factory settings is preferred.
• Preferred background in product scale-up, validation, and technology transfer activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Preferred experience with SAP, SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), and/or Minitab for data management, reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work with food allergens and allergen-containing materials.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
