This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Take ownership and enhance the architectural vision at the ART level, ensuring alignment with Business Owners and across various brands.
• Lead architectural initiatives at the team level (software architects/tech leads), converting stakeholder needs into technical frameworks.
• Manage the cloud-based infrastructure of the system.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses of architectural options, including financial evaluations and risk assessments.
• Validate architectural decisions through Proofs of Concept (POCs), determining costs and verification strategies.
• Ensure alignment with Group-wide technical platforms, coordinating networking and platform specifications.
• Decompose technical requirements into manageable components and oversee technical evaluations for significant changes or architectural expansions.
• Determine capacity allocation for enablement tasks in collaboration with product management as part of the PM/SA/RTE triad during PI Planning.
• Promote best practices in software development across Agile teams within the ART.
• Define and manage critical Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) in conjunction with business needs, providing insight into their architectural implications and alternative solutions.
• Design robust monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with the Solution Architect on release management and ensuring technology alignment across ARTs.
• Establish architectural guidelines that facilitate the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, detailing its constraints and boundaries.
• Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines and deployment settings.
• Identify and resolve delivery obstacles across Agile teams; serve as a Delivery Advocate, sharing insights and team agreements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Software Engineering.
• Over 7 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years as a System/Platform Architect.
• Experience in SAFe environments; a role as System Architect within an ART is preferred.
• Practical experience in designing and managing workloads on AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and ideally Kotlin.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools and security requirements in cloud-native settings.
• Demonstrated ability to define and sustain architecture documentation (e.g., arc42, TOGAF).
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, capable of aligning with Business Owners, product management, and cross-brand teams.
• Fluent in German; proficiency in English and/or Spanish is advantageous.
