System Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and continuously enhance high-availability, low-latency trading backend infrastructure with an emphasis on uptime, throughput, and operational resilience.

• Collaborate with product owners to collect and interpret business requirements, convert them into precise technical specifications, and oversee projects from design through to production release.

• Work closely with the management team to ensure architectural direction aligns with long-term product strategy and organizational objectives.

• Lead the transformation of monolithic systems into manageable, independently deployable microservices, facilitating a smooth transition with minimal disruption.

• Establish and advocate for engineering standards, architecture review processes, and best practices across various teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecture at scale.

• Hands-on experience in the development of trading platforms or fintech systems.

• Proven success in breaking down monolithic systems — transitioning legacy frameworks to distributed architectures.

• Experience with real-time stream processing — event-driven design, Kafka, or similar technologies.

• Strong expertise in databases: PostgreSQL, Redis, and ClickHouse, including data modeling and performance optimization.

• Solid development experience in JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, or Scala) in backend production environments.
