This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee the crew on-site and manage the implementation of soil and earthwork construction activities.
• Track daily progress in alignment with the project schedule, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with site safety personnel to reinforce RECON's safety culture on-site; ensure all staff adhere to safety plans, company policies, and procedures.
• Assist project management in conducting daily morning safety meetings on-site.
• Assess the competencies of craft employees to guarantee the safe operation of heavy machinery, minimizing company risk and addressing any safety issues.
• Monitor the crew's performance on-site, including training, coaching, and implementing disciplinary actions within the RECON team.
• Produce daily reports, accurately documenting progress and production levels.
• Prepare and manage daily time sheets to align with the completion of work tasks.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of materials and heavy equipment on-site to consistently support production deadlines while adhering to budget constraints for the scope of work.
• Ensure that work performed on-site meets quality standards and complies with the contractual agreement established with clients.
• Conduct incident and accident investigations with the site safety team, reporting any issues as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of all employees on-site.
• Lead initiatives to integrate subcontractors into RECON's rigorous safety standards on the project site, providing education and mentorship to team members as needed.
• Manage production goals for project estimates, offering input and feedback regarding the overall management of project safety, productivity, quality of work, and financial status to the Project Manager.
• A minimum of ten years of construction experience, including five years of direct field supervision.
• Strong experience in MGP remediation and ISS is required.
• Proven experience in earthwork construction, soil stabilization, environmental remediation, landfill closure projects, and/or mass excavation.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• A solid understanding of safety protocols related to the safe operation of earth-moving construction equipment is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams to efficiently generate daily reports with high confidence and accuracy.
• Must be capable of working in a construction environment on-site, with exposure to dust, noise, and adverse weather conditions.
• Must be willing and able to travel to job site locations as assigned to manage daily operations on-site with a monthly rotation back home.
