Staff Software Engineer – Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of scalable, robust, and secure software solutions, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability.

• Define and enhance the platform architecture, considering factors such as performance, availability, security, and maintainability.

• Make informed technical decisions by assessing and selecting the most effective methods and technologies to address business challenges.

• Mentor and support the engineering team, promoting technical development and professional growth among team members.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, etc.) to align priorities and deliver impactful solutions.

• Maintain code quality and excellence in deliverables by advocating for development best practices.

• Contribute to the establishment and implementation of automated testing strategies and continuous deployment processes.

• Research, assess, and integrate new technologies and tools that enhance the team’s efficiency and drive innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in AWS, with hands-on experience in Kubernetes and API Gateway, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance environments.

• Strong proficiency in Go, with a focus on developing and maintaining APIs and resilient systems.

• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL, encompassing data modeling, optimization, and administration of complex databases.

• Familiarity with Docker for creating isolated and consistent environments.

• Understanding of SQS and Kafka, along with knowledge of synchronization (sync vs async) and data consistency (strong vs eventual).

• Practical understanding of RTO/RPO and strategies for business continuity.

• Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC), as well as concepts related to cryptography, rate limiting, and throttling.
