This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and analysts to gain a comprehensive understanding of how sellers utilize Outreach workflows (Sequences, Tasks, Triggers, Rulesets, Task Flow) and create experiences that enhance outcomes such as meetings booked and opportunities generated.
• Overseeing frontend design and execution for prominent experiences such as Tasks, Sequences, and the new VisualAgentBuilder, while iterating on previously released interfaces like Research Agent, with a keen focus on user experience, task completion, and performance.
• Partnering closely with client platform and shared frontend infrastructure (design system, core packages) to guarantee that experiences are consistent, efficient, accessible, observable, and scalable throughout the Outreach web application.
• Establishing the technical direction for the team’s frontend architecture and contributing to the engineering vision for an enterprise-level workflow platform that integrates workflows, insights, and outcomes.
• Rapidly prototyping and validating new concepts—such as outcome-driven workflows, “next best action” user experience, goal/target visualization, or new VisualAgentBuilder interactions—prior to committing to comprehensive solutions.
• Analyzing aspects of the stack (client performance, API design, telemetry, experimentation) to determine the best return on investment for specific customer challenges, with a strong emphasis on measurable enhancements in activity completion and feature utilization.
• Working on some of the most prominent interfaces in Outreach, where alterations to Task Flow, Sequence states, or workflow visualization are immediately perceived by customers and internal teams.
• Contributing to the improvement of the team and organization by mentoring fellow engineers, conducting technical reviews, interviewing candidates, and spearheading initiatives that elevate the standards for frontend quality, performance, and developer experience.
• Managing relationships with partner engineering teams and collaborating with product, design, and go-to-market stakeholders to deliver comprehensive, outcome-focused workflow solutions.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with considerable time dedicated to creating modern, user-facing web applications.
• Demonstrated success in developing and deploying large-scale web applications, with strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React (or a similar modern framework) as utilized in Outreach’s web frontend.
• Experience working within a contemporary frontend ecosystem, encompassing bundlers/build tools, test runners, and API/GraphQL clients, along with integration with shared design systems and reusable client packages.
• Familiarity with cloud-based service architectures and integrating frontend applications with backend services (e.g., services implemented in languages such as Java, Go, or C++), including considerations for performance, reliability, and observability.
• Knowledge of experimentation and analytics tools (e.g., AB testing platforms, feature flags, client-side instrumentation) and utilizing telemetry to inform UI decisions and assess impact on outcomes (task completion, feature usage, sequence effectiveness).
• Proven history of senior or staff-level technical leadership within a robust engineering culture—setting technical direction, driving architecture, and successfully completing complex, multi-team projects.
• Capability to establish and maintain technical and cultural standards for frontend engineering, including code quality, accessibility, performance, testing, and operational excellence of the experiences you oversee.
• Competitive salary and equity options.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Flexible work hours and remote work opportunities.
• Professional development and learning opportunities.
• Collaborative and innovative work environment.
