This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee code and design reviews to guarantee efficient daily operations and precise planning.
• Engage in the complete application lifecycle, concentrating on coding and debugging tasks.
• Create clean code to design functional web applications, primarily focusing on backend development (approximately 60% backend / 40% frontend).
• Handle intricate report execution, visualization, and exports, including data synchronization between OLB banking data and ERP systems.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and debugging activities.
• Execute UI tests to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to pinpoint new features.
• Manage innovative technologies to upgrade legacy applications.
• Collect and address technical and design specifications.
• Establish and sustain environment configurations while monitoring system health.
• Develop reusable code and libraries for future applications.
• Offer training and support to internal teams.
• Improve development tools, test coverage, and/or code structure.
• Lead mentoring and provide technical support to junior engineers, overseeing a team of 6 core engineers.
• Respond swiftly to on-call incidents, troubleshooting and resolving critical disruptions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain transparent and proactive communication with customers and vendors to foster a positive, collaborative relationship.
• Facilitate coordination across internal teams to ensure seamless data flow and reporting accuracy.
• Exhibit exemplary self-sufficiency by independently managing tasks, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines, while adapting to new challenges without supervision.
• Establish and uphold development standards within the team.
• Advocate for an API-first approach in software projects, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and extensibility.
• A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in software development or a related field; or 7 years with an advanced degree.
• Strong programming skills in .NET/C#, with Java experience also acceptable, and proven work experience as a full stack developer.
• Substantial experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or Angular (preferred), React, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong focus on SQL and PostgreSQL for reporting and database services, including ETL responsibilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the entire software development process (design, development, and deployment).
• Experience in developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills, with a proven ability to deliver value independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience providing technical input at a staff level.
• Proven experience in monitoring and supporting production systems, with proficiency in identifying and resolving issues, implementing proactive measures, and measurement tracking.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, along with caching mechanisms.
• In-depth understanding and practical application of REST API best practices, ensuring adherence to standards, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Advanced strategies for developing tests, including unit tests, UI automation tests, and integration tests.
• Experience in building and deploying applications using Kubernetes.
• Experience in OpenTelemetry.
