Staff Product Manager, Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Telematics data platform, ensuring a balance between enterprise-grade reliability and innovative features.

• Collaborate closely with R&D leaders to address core platform challenges and provide enterprise-grade reliability for essential data services.

• Lead the definition and launch of customer-facing Telematics APIs, webhooks, and data integrations specifically for the Enterprise segment.

• Drive the platform's readiness for strategic initiatives, including expansion into international markets.

• Work in partnership with AI teams to integrate telematics data as a fundamental aspect of Motive's AI differentiation, incorporating new analytics and automated workflows.

• Mentor and guide other Product Managers within the team to enhance the product function in this vital area.

• Act as the central figure in product leadership, tackling complex engineering challenges and fostering alignment throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of product management experience, with a demonstrated record in a leadership role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proven experience in building and scaling complex data platforms, API-first products, IoT systems, or large-scale distributed systems.

• Expertise in managing a platform as a product, effectively balancing the needs of various internal stakeholders with those of external customers.

• Capability to drive alignment, influence roadmaps, and build consensus among multiple product, engineering, and GTM teams without direct authority.

• Ability to thoroughly analyze data to assess platform health while also engaging with enterprise customers to identify their integration requirements.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and remain comfortable while navigating ambiguity and complexity.
