Staff iOS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy for the iOS platform, focusing on long-term scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Design and implement impactful iOS features and systems.

• Balance immediate product requirements with the long-term health of the platform.

• Spearhead cross-functional projects alongside product, design, data, backend, and Android teams.

• Promote engineering best practices within the iOS team, emphasizing code quality, testing, and development workflows.

• Mentor iOS engineers while fostering technical leadership and knowledge sharing.

• Evaluate the technical, user, and business repercussions of released features through data analysis and user feedback.

• Continuously enhance the iOS technology stack and tools.

• Collaborate with AI-driven tools to boost productivity and creativity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional iOS development experience, including responsibility for large-scale, consumer-oriented applications.

• Prior experience as a Staff iOS Engineer or similar, showcasing impact that extends beyond mere feature delivery.

• Strong product awareness and extensive technical expertise applied at the platform level.

• Proven track record of enhancing an iOS app globally in terms of architecture, performance, tools, and development practices.

• Capable of identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex technical issues that affect multiple teams.

• A strong history of mentoring engineers, leading peer programming sessions, and promoting improved technical practices.

• Excellent proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with experience in deploying and maintaining production systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of iOS architecture and system design.

• Data-driven mindset, comfortable utilizing analytics and feedback to inform technical and product choices.

• Highly self-sufficient, proactive, and results-oriented.

• Familiarity with Combine, Swift Package Manager, Swift Concurrency, and MVVM.

• Experience with GitHub.
