• Take full ownership of the delivery process for customer integrations, which includes State HIE and ADT feeds—from initial scoping to ongoing production support.
• Design and execute data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data.
• Create workflows for roster management, encompassing ingestion, reconciliation, and lifecycle management.
• Develop reliable and scalable mechanisms for data transmission, such as APIs, SFTP, and event-driven systems.
• Implement automated QA and validation frameworks to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with customers to design integration strategies and provide guidance on technical decisions.
• Convert ambiguous requirements into clear and actionable solutions.
• Provide advice on interoperability best practices and system architecture.
• Align the needs of customers with the capabilities of the platform.
• Act as an escalation point for complex issues related to integration and data pipelines.
• Debug across the entire stack, from transformation logic to downstream delivery.
• Identify root causes of problems and apply durable, code-driven solutions.
• Minimize operational overhead by resolving recurring issues through automation.
• Develop systems for monitoring and observability to assess integration health.
• Create alerting mechanisms, dashboards, and automated diagnostic tools.
• Build internal tools to expedite implementation, QA, and troubleshooting processes.
• Continuously enhance the scalability and reliability of integration systems.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, integrations, or forward-deployed engineering.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages, with a proven history of developing production systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, ADT, and CDA.
• Demonstrated capability to design and construct data pipelines and integrations rather than merely configuring them.
• Strong SQL skills and experience dealing with large and complex datasets.
• Background in creating monitoring and observability systems.
• Ability to debug complex distributed systems comprehensively.
• Experience working directly with customers in a technical and consultative capacity.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently tackle ambiguous challenges to completion.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards, including HIPAA and SOC 2.
