This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the design and creation of data systems that facilitate analytics, ML/AI products, reporting, APIs, integrations, and customer-oriented data products.
• Lead the ingestion, transformation, modeling, validation, lineage, publishing, and serving of Vidmob’s creative, media, customer, model-output, and performance data.
• Design batch and near-real-time pipelines that are scalable, observable, replayable, and cost-efficient.
• Collaborate with Data Science to convert models, scores, embeddings, prompts, evaluations, and experimental outputs into dependable production data products and customer-facing functionalities.
• Establish data foundations for AI-driven products utilizing LLMs, VLMs, multimodal analysis, agent workflows, and reinforcement learning.
• Set best practices for data contracts, pipeline design, testing, reviews, observability, and production readiness.
• Create governed datasets and serving patterns that enable dashboards, APIs, exports, partner integrations, ML workflows, benchmarks, and agent-ready applications.
• Develop reliable data flows with advertising platforms, DSPs, measurement partners, creative systems, customer environments, and internal product surfaces.
• Influence long-term strategies regarding tooling, storage, processing frameworks, serving patterns, governance, and cost structure.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, or analytics engineering within SaaS, platform, AdTech, MarTech, marketplace, or other data-intensive settings.
• Extensive experience with modern warehouse, lakehouse, orchestration, and transformation technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, along with relational and noSQL databases.
• Proficiency in production-grade SQL and strong programming capabilities in Python, Scala, Java, or similar languages. Knowledge of Typescript is an advantage.
• Experience in designing batch, incremental, and near-real-time processing systems at scale.
• Proven track record in creating high-volume processing pipelines and the associated architecture.
• Experience in building or supporting production products driven by ML or AI, preferably including LLMs, VLMs, embeddings, recommendation systems, or multimodal data products.
• Strong capability to productionize models, monitor model outputs, establish feedback loops, and enhance the reliability of experimental work at product scale.
• Experience in implementing validation, monitoring, lineage, alerting, incident response, and data trust practices for critical pipelines and model-output workflows.
• Proficient in utilizing AI tools to expedite development, testing, documentation, data discovery, root-cause analysis, and operational workflows.
• Ability to discern when to create reusable platform patterns, when to implement tactical fixes, and how to prevent one-off tasks from evolving into permanent architecture.
• Exceptional writing and artifact discipline; capable of clearly communicating architecture, data quality risks, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with AdTech, MarTech, platform APIs, ML-powered products, or customer-focused analytics products is a significant plus.
• Proficient in written and spoken English at a B2+ level.
• You take ownership of outcomes, not just pipelines.
• Periodic international travel within Latam or to the US will be necessary.
