Staff Cyber Security Engineer – AI Data Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the AI DLP platform, overseeing administration, configuration, policy management, tuning, upgrades, deployments, and overall platform health.

• Design and implement DLP and AI protection solutions across endpoint, cloud, mobile, and network environments.

• Maintain detection policies, risk scoring, thresholds, baselines, operational metrics, and the service roadmap.

• Assess new DLP and AI security technologies through proof-of-concept initiatives and platform evaluations.

• Oversee vendor performance, service level agreements (SLAs), incident resolution, and end-user issue management until resolution.

• Evaluate and manage AI-related data protection risks in collaboration with Cyber, IT, and business teams.

• Analyze emerging AI platforms for DLP, privacy, and compliance risks, providing recommendations for suitable controls.

• Establish and enforce AI guardrails to mitigate data leakage, policy breaches, and unsafe usage.

• Collaborate with AI enablement and governance teams to ensure alignment of solutions with data protection standards.

• Monitor AI threats, including risks associated with large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and shadow AI.

• Automate DLP workflows, triage processes, and integrations utilizing Python, PowerShell, KQL, and Bash.

• Develop Azure automation, SIEM queries, dashboards, and alerts using Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Automation Accounts, KQL, and Microsoft Sentinel.

• Provide support for Windows and Mac endpoints regarding DLP deployment, enforcement, and troubleshooting.

• Implement cloud security controls across Azure, AWS, M365, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.

• Keep up-to-date with AI advancements, tools, agentic frameworks, and monitoring platforms pertinent to data protection.

• Advise internal teams on the secure application of AI within IT and Cyber operations.

• Advocate for responsible AI adoption by identifying security vulnerabilities and recommending risk-based controls.

• Collaborate with DLP, Cyber, AI, and IT stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities align with business goals.

• Clearly communicate platform status, risks, roadmap, and priorities to leadership and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with significant technical experience.

• Proven experience managing enterprise DLP or data protection platforms, including Microsoft Purview, Defender, Sentinel, or similar tools.

• Practical knowledge of AI security tools, agentic AI frameworks, and AI monitoring solutions.

• Expertise in Python, PowerShell, Bash, KQL, SIEM analytics, and Azure automation.

• In-depth understanding of cloud security, AI/ML risks, privacy, compliance, identity management, networking, endpoints, and infrastructure security.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, agile delivery methods, and relevant cybersecurity certifications is advantageous.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across Cyber, IT, business, and vendor teams in a global setting.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and presenting effectively to both technical and leadership audiences.

• Experience in vendor management, handling SLAs, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring junior team members.

• Self-motivated individual who takes initiative, learns swiftly, and remains informed about AI and data protection trends.

• Capable of managing competing priorities, driving multiple workstreams, and proactively addressing risks.
