Staff Backend Engineer, Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across functions with product, design, and engineering teams to implement product and business strategies, creating innovative products and features that resonate with our users.

• Engage in the complete development lifecycle: technical design, coding, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You will be responsible for reviewing code and design documents, providing feedback on product specifications and prototypes.

• Lead a team of dedicated, agile, and driven engineers. Establish and define standards that enhance developer workflows, suggest best practices, and mentor team members to support their professional growth.

• Continuously seek to enhance both your technical and non-technical skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software development using one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby.

• Proficient in GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC fundamentals, with the capability to design and implement maintainable APIs.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong organizational abilities, with a talent for prioritizing tasks and maintaining project schedules.

• An entrepreneurial mindset. You are proactive, innovative, and action-oriented in fast-paced settings, enjoying the creation of new solutions and thriving amidst ambiguity and setbacks.

• Proven experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting, capable of discussing complex subjects with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
